Motions of Not Knowing

2019

Installation. Wood, wire, ceramics, textile and synthetic hair.

This installation is presented as an ambiguous landscape of movement, where separate elements tentatively relate to each other. Each element shows random stories through its form and/or materiality.

Each element shows the interpretation of different dynamics of movements that are experienced in moments of uncertainty. This installation was an exercise in bringing together very different elements and experimenting with what happens in their encounter; not only between the elements themselves, but also in the encounter with the viewer.

Each of the elements has different rhythms and directions, materialised through the weight, friction and weft of the materials they are made of, such as wood, wires, ceramics, textiles, synthetic hair and light.
